Yasuchika Sumi founded the business in Tanso-machi.
1963
The main store moved to Sanbonmatsu, Hita City.
1967
Hiroki Sumi became president.
1972
Opened the first Oyama store, followed by Kurume Higashi, Amagi, Kurume Akebono, and other stores.
1978
Opened the Nishijin store.
1980
Opened the Kasuga and Tosu stores.
1982
Opened the Saga store.
1983
Opened the Chikugo Akasaka and Yoshii stores.
1984
Opened the Kurume Chuo Koen-mae and Kagetsu stores.

Opened the Yanagawa store.
1987
Built the Sofuren headquarters and factory in Minami-Tomoda. Completed the centralized delivery system for meat, noodles, and other products. Opened the Kusu and Umi stores.
